Major

Butler’s Exploratory Studies program connects you to faculty across campus and offers the support and resources necessary to help find the major that’s right for you. You will explore the more than 85 majors and minors available at Butler University. Through self-assessment and reflection, you will learn to make informed decisions to shape your own educational path and how you can apply those same approaches in exploring potential careers.

Finding the area of study that’s best for you is often a journey in itself. Through Exploratory Studies, you can try out many of your interests and develop new skills before fully immersing yourself in a major. Through this program, you may take:

LC103, Exploratory Studies—This 2-credit course is one of the highlights of the Exploratory Studies program. It is offered in the fall and spring semesters at Butler and is taught by an Exploratory Studies academic advisor.
