French is spoken by over 300 million people on five continents as a first or second language. It is one of the main languages of international business, sport, and diplomacy. The French program at Butler offers small classes with accessible and supportive faculty, a wide range of study abroad opportunities (in France, but also in Belgium, Switzerland, Madagascar, Morocco, Quebec, Senegal), internships in the United States and abroad, and opportunities to present research both on- and off-campus.
