The Public Health major offers a multi-disciplinary, liberal arts exploration of the scientific, social, cultural, and human dimensions of public health. Students will expand their knowledge of the complex intersecting factors that shape health, developing the ability to think critically about global and public health. A focal point of the program is an integrative approach to public health that addresses issues of health inequity and disparity across all dimensions of health and health care. Students will be prepared to work in multi-faceted environments with people of diverse backgrounds to help solve complex community, national, and global public health problems.

A minor in Healthcare Management means both an understanding of business disciplines and expertise in the management issues specific to the healthcare industry. You will gain a foundation in the healthcare delivery system, healthcare economics, and insurance principles, giving you the expertise you need to enter into one of the largest and fastest growing industries in the nation.
Pharmacy
The prestigious, four year Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) program will prepare you to be a highly skilled pharmacy practitioner through hands-on learning opportunities in real practice settings. You’ll experience two Introductory Pharmacy Practice Experiences during the summer after your first and second professional year, and will then complete ten, four-week Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experiences during your fourth professional year. All of this preparation will ensure you’re highly-qualified to practice in a variety of settings including community pharmacies, hospitals, long-term care centers, home healthcare, the pharmaceutical industry, and more. Students who successfully complete the two year Pre-Pharmacy program will have a direct pathway into the PharmD program.
