Hessam Sarooghi
Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Student Run Captive
Hessam Sarooghi is an Entrepreneurship & Innovation faculty in the Lacy School of Business. He has earned his Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from the University of Missouri Kansas City (2016). Hessam’s primary research interest is focused on studying the experiential approaches in identifying and developing entrepreneurial opportunities informed by the nuances of design thinking. His research has been published in top entrepreneurship and management journal including the Academy of Management Review, Journal of Business Venturing, Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, Small Business Economics, and Journal of Small Business Management. While at Butler, Hessam has taught the First Year Business Experience, Real Business Experience, Creativity and Innovation, and Entrepreneurial Accelerator in the undergraduate program. He has also taught Entrepreneurial Mindset in the MBA program.
